Racing/Road bicycle Super Light
Super Light 6.4kg Road Bike: Customized frame in Columbus steel with Silver Fillet Brazed technique and components to go even under the lower limit weight suitable for competitions
The weight limit to participate in races, the one you thought could only be approached with a carbon frame, the fateful 6.8 kg, you can achieve it with a complete bike with a steel frame!
You can even have a bike that weighs less than 6.8kg but is made with Forgione steel frame! "Superlight Steel" project: complete bike with a custom-made frame and steel lightening components, Columbus Spirit steel with Silver Fillet Brazing joining technique. Please note: The price refers to the frame only.Features
This project objectively highlights that today, with the newest steel alloys, you can obtain complete bikes with a weight that goes well below the minimum limit allowed by the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI) and the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), which is 6800g. The components listed are not the lightest available in the market, so the weight can be further reduced below the minimum limit if desired. It's worth noting that the rush for extreme lightness at all costs, even at the expense of safety, led to FCI imposing a minimum weight of 6,800g. The weight was introduced in 2000 by the UCI and, evidently, reflects the state of technology at that time.Today, technologies have changed, and surely, a steel frame with these characteristics and weight can guarantee both the mechanical and psychological safety of the athlete.

Who Uses a Bike Like This
I use a Superlight bike weighing 6.4 kg! What you see here is a photo from a few weeks ago during one of the outings we organize with the Forgione Frames group.
The sensations on this bike are always good, and there's no sense of excessive lightness. I always feel safe, even in fast curves, and I have the satisfaction of being able to lift the entire bike with one hand and without any effort.
My "proof of concept" perhaps needed to be tested on the road, and there was no one I could subcontract this mission to; I had to be the first to do it!
